The Real Werewives of Vampire County giveaway!

October 25, 2011

Hey, this is fun. The Real Werewives of Vampire County releases today and I have author copies. Woot!

Werewives is an anthology with Alexandra Ivy, Jess Haines, Tami Dane and yours truly. It’s been getting some great buzz and it was so much fun to write a story that is connected to the demon slayer world, but definitely off on its own.

In my short story, Murder on Mysteria Lane, a werewolf trophy wife is found dead in Vampire County. Pack-mate Heather McPhee goes undercover to investigate. Heather’s never been a mascara-and-manicures sort of girl, but she’s willing to learn. Especially with sexy vampire detective Lucien Mead posing as her husband.

I have to tell you, it was a hoot to research this story. I had to watch many, many hours of Desperate Housewives. That show is strangely addicting. My agent tried to also get me into The Real Housewives of Orange County, but those girls were too mean. Give me the fictional housewives anytime.

What about you? Tell us if you’re a housewives watcher or not and you’re entered to win a copy of The Real Werewives of Vampire County!

*Oh and as a special Werewives promotion, Kindle and Nook copies of The Accidental Demon Slayer are on sale for 99 cents!

Nope. I don’t watch much tv and have enough drama in my life that I don’t need to watch it on tv.

  2. Sarah Smith Says:

I try to avoid the dramas, I personally like to watch sci-fi and paranormal stuff like Doctor Who and True Blood. I can’t wait till Grimm starts on Friday. I hope it’s good. 🙂

  3. SharonS Says:

I watched the first two seasons of Desperate Housewives then it got silly. I have never watched any of the “real” housewives cause that is just silly . Of course I don’t watch much reality tv at all. Thanks for the chance to win! Your story is getting good reviews 🙂

  4. Robin K Says:

I am not a housewives watcher. I tried it but the voice overs and narration did me in. Not that I do not like the concept though 🙂

  5. Angie Fox Says:

Too funny, Donna. Yes, I have enough real life drama as well. I guess that’s why I enjoyed my bit of Desperate Housewives. I mean, at the end of the day, I can say that I may have burned dinner or watched the dog run off with my daughter’s toothbrush (that really did happen yesterday) but at least I didn’t accidentally set my neighbor’s house on fire. Accomplishment!

  6. Angie Fox Says:

Hey Sarah, I’m a True Blood person too. Several people I know are really into Dr. Who as well. I need to take a look at that.

    • Sarah Smith Says:

My husband got me hooked on Doctor Who. If you do start watching it plan for a loooong weekend or weekends as the case might be. It is awesome! 🙂

      • Angie Fox Says:

See, that’s the trick. I have to get my husband hooked or I’m sunk. Like he’s not into Battlestar Gallactica. (I should have asked before I married him, right?) Anyhow, it’s taken me years to get through the series because I’m watching at random times.

  7. Angie Fox Says:

Thanks, Sharon! I’m really psyched about this one. Interesting Desperate Housewives got silly. I only watched Season 1. But I keep meaning to start up again.

  8. Angie Fox Says:

    I hear you, Robin.

  9. I love Desperate Housewives! With it being the last season of DH, I propose that The Real Werewives of Vampire County takes it’s place on Sunday nights at 9PM. Get writing Angie!!

  10. Heather Says:

I use to be housewives watcher. I think we stopped watching about 3 years ago. We were sucked in, but then I just got tired of it. I guess I was just crazy drama-ed out.

  11. chelle818 Says:

I am definitely not a housewives watcher but I can’t wait to read your story.

  12. Ellen Says:

No I have never watch desperate housewife. I love to read books more than watch tv.

  13. lillian Says:

    No. Never watched it.

  14. Hahah, yeah I used to, but I stopped almost immediately and focused on drama from movies, Disney, and Gossip girl 😉

  15. I’m not a big fan of The Real Housewives shows for that reason too. They are so mean and backstabby toward each other. Do not like!

I got to meet you at the Wine, Wit & Lit event yesterday. So much fun to talk with you. Can’t wait to read your book. 🙂

    Take care.

I do not watch any of the housewives reality shows. i tried to once but i didnt really care for the way the women acted. I thought it was a bit too high-schoolish for me. Not to say that the whole season is that way but that particular episode just didnt sit well with me .
i can’t wait to read the new book!
