The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers – manuscript winner!
February 11, 2009
We have a winner of the original manuscript of The Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers. Natalie Hatch. Woo hoo Natalie! Shoot me an email with your address and I’ll get that out to you. Also let me know if you want the clean or the marked up book. And thank you to everyone who entered. It was a lot of fun. Maybe I can find my original manuscript of The Accidental Demon Slayer and we can do this again.

Angie,
I knew I should have been sending cookie care packages your way…..hmmm…maybe next contest you might be getting a few little bits of encouragement to steer you in my direction…LOL…For now, I’ll just go back to counting down the days to the April release date..sniff..sniff..
Have a great day!!!!

I think you’re on to something, Stacey. What if Natalie develops a blister on her page turning finger? Or what if she doesn’t have room on her bookshelf for a manuscript? The possibilities are endless.

Oh yes, I’m totally open to bribery of all kinds – especially chocolate and books. 🙂

I was thinking the same ting..LOL–what if she “Accidentally” loses her reading glasses or contacts…she’ll need someone to read it to her..AND I AM HERE BY NOMINATING MYSELF AS THE #1 VOLUNTEER. It’s all about helping people–after all.
So, are you a dark, milk or white chocolate kind of girl? We just might have to negotiate….and my bribery line is always open, too. Besides–whoever says they can live without books and chocolate is an out and out liar. And everybosy needs a little “friendly persuasion” once in awhile:) We’ll just call it a “donation” (wink, wink) You name the date of delivery–it WILL be there…LMAO

Congrats Natalie! And Stacey beat me to offer to be your reader. Heehee.

Congrats Natalie. Go for the marked up one. How cool would it be to have all those neat notes.

Don’t worry Vicki–we can take turns. Eventually–I do get tired of talking….
We can all get together, bring all of the chocolate we can get our hot little hands on and have a reading party…fun!! fun!! fun!!!
but i think Natalie is gonna want to keep it all to herself.
Just remember Natalie..we are here if you need a couple extra sets of eyes:)

Congratulations! I’m impressed with the speed that you have done this Angie.

Well it turns out Natalie is from Australia, so I’m thinking that’s the perfect excuse for a road trip, right?

Oh and I love that a biker witch is now making comments. Hiya Looney Libby! (Did you know Looney Libby has been kicked out of at least three Wal-Marts for popping wheelies?)
I’m going to have to show your comment to my editor. When I turned this book into her over the summer, I did ask for a few more weeks. She was like, um…no.
To be fair, I am the eternal tweaker when it comes to my writing. I probably would have spent the time sending Pirate to the many variations of Joni Maroni’s Sausage Kingdom or getting him into other kinds of trouble. That’s the mark of a good editor – they know when to take the book away.
